There are services available to Donor2 clients that many people may not be
aware of. Though day-to-day support is an excellent way for Donor2 users to get assistance with
daily needs and issues, Donor2 Professional Services can offer assistance for special circumstances
and issues outside the scope our your standard support contract.
Some of the services available from the Professional Services group include:
Data Planning and Analysis:
A senior Donor2 specialist can review your data to help you understand how to get
the most out of the application. Data analysis may include reviewing reports, planning sessions,
data mapping, database statistics, and other sources. Complete documentation of the analysis and
findings is provided.
Data Clean-up and Updates:
Based on planning, analysis, or client specifications, Professional Services can provide
data clean up for a client’s database. These updates may be performed in the live database using a custom
utility or manually by a data conversion specialist in the Donor2 offices.
Advanced Duplicate Checking Analysis and Mass Account Combine
Duplicate account records can be a major issue in many donor databases. Whether you
have converted from a system that didn't allow you to capture and combine duplicates constituents or you
have inherited a system that was not properly maintained, eliminating duplicates accounts should be a top priority.
Donor2 has a standard duplicate checking report and combine account feature that allows you to search for
possible duplicates and combine the records. For more advanced searching and mass duplicate combines,
Donor2 Professional Services can help.
Custom SQL Updates and Scripts:
Specific updates to the database may be applied using custom SQL Statements or scripts
designed by a Donor2 data conversion specialist. There are some updates that Donor2 Support can provide
at no charge, but advanced or custom scripts must be designed and reviewed by Professional Services.
IT Support and Remote Installation:
Smaller organizations or clients without a full time IT staff to manage upgrades and
installs may want to consider outsourcing some of these tasks to Donor2 Professional Services.
Security Audit and Implementation:
Understanding Donor2 Security with the roles and rights of each user can be a
daunting experience. Professional Services can help evaluate the security settings in the database
and make recommendations for the security groups and settings. Upon completion of this evaluation,
a summary document and implementation of these settings can be provided.
Customized Training:
Standard Donor2 Training can be provided in our classroom, remotely, or onsite.
These methods use a sample database and standard workbooks. Clients may request custom training
and documentation for their organization which would include customized data, activities, and agendas.
Professional Reports
Reports that are not included as standard reports or which cannot be created using the
Report Designer tool can be requested from Professional Services. A Donor2 specialist will evaluate the
request and work with your staff in developing the best approach to get the analysis you need.
Utilities and 3rd Party Application Integration:
Donor2 provides integration with several other industry vendors via existing modules and
functions. Professional Services can help specify and design custom interfaces for clients wishing to
work with other applications and processes.
Onsite and Remote Implementation:
Staff needing special assistance or configurations may benefit from personalized
implementation time with a Donor2 specialist. Typical projects completed during implementations may
include Home Page setup and customization, Office documents integration, emergency triage, and many
of the services listed above.
Note that because Professional Services are not included in the standard support contract,
there may be charges for the time and products provided. The standard billable rate for this work is
$200 per hour with a minimum of two hours.
